Colour coordinated

Right from the star cast to the execution, Blue directed by Anthony D’souza has been in the news for setting trends. Recently, movie-buffs fell upon one such interesting concept used by the director.

As all the characters have distinctive personalities and are different from each other, they are all associated with particular colours which underline their characteristics.
Right from outfit designs  to the moulding of characters, all the male lead actors of the film can be seen displaying predominant traits throughout the film.

Like, Akshay Kumar is seen sporting a fiery red and related shades that bring out the menacing, dangerous qualities of the character he plays. At the same time he is seen in blazers, which signify a sophisticated, polished look of the suave businessman that he is in the film.

Sanju baba on the other hand is seen in casuals for major parts of the films, playing a calm, composed character, hence wearing tones of blue.

Zayed Khan plays a young, carefree role, with all the zest and energy of the youth which is portrayed by the yellow and bright colours that he wears.

Looks like the debutant director has meticulously visualised his characters and seems to be sure of what he wants.

Sush’s role model

In order to play the globetrotting, high-flying tycoon biwi in David Dhawan’s Do Knot Disturb, Sushmita Sen has closely studied the video footage of Neeta Ambani to familiarise herself with the body language, dress sense and general demeanour of business magnate Mukesh Ambani’s wife. Sushmita’s preparation as an actor did not end there. The villas and mansions in England that producer Vashu Bhagnani and director David Dhawan shortlisted just didn’t make the grade with the exacting Miss Sen.

Going bold and topless

The poster for the new Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kurbaan is out and leaves very little to the imagination. A topless Kareena also has a lovemaking scene with Saif in the movie and there is already a lot of talk about their steamy chemistry.
So it was bound to generate curiosity and now the poster will just add to the hype. Directed by Rensil D’Silva and produced by Karan Johar, the film has Saif playing the role of a terrorist with Kareena playing his wife.

Plans of massive starcast

Danny Boyle’s Bombay Velvet might star Shah Rukh Khan. With Aamir Khan also starring in the film, it will be nothing short of a casting coup, if Boyle manages to get the two superstars together.
Incidentally, Boyle had earlier offered Anil Kapoor’s role in Slumdog Millionaire to Shah Rukh Khan but things hadn’t worked out then.
Like his hugely successful Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle’s next is also based on the city of Mumbai. It is a thriller period film set in the 1940s to be directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film, based on real incidents, is expected to go on the floors next year.
