Ayanur continues tirade against Ashoka

Calls him dictator, asks him to step down if he was incapable of solving problems

Continuing his tirade against Transport Minister R Ashoka, MP and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ayanur Manjunath on Sunday, alleged that the minister was behaving like a dictator.

While speaking with mediapersons, he expressed his ire against the minister for ‘not handling peoperly’ the demands of the employees of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation. 

He said: “There are as many as 1.9 lakh employees in the Corporation. It will be an injustice to the families of the employees if their demands are not fulfilled. Probably these remarks of mine were not taken in a proper manner.

But I continue to stand by my words. If the injustice is not set right, then the Transport minister will have to pay for it,” he said. He added that if the minister was not able to meet the demands of the employees, he should admit so and get down from the post,” he warned.

Ayanur said: “It was wrong on part of Eshwarappa to assume that the party can utilise me however it requires.

If, speaking on behalf of the employees is indiscipline, then there are several who speak against the party leaders. I want to know what action has been taken against Renukacharya, Jharkiholi, Belur Gopalakrishna, etc,” he demanded.

Volleying out his anger, he rattled: “I was hanged, only to convey a message to others. But let them give me an appropriate reason before doing so. This is the handiwork of some people with vested interests within the party and they are to be blamed for this,” he added.

After laying the foundation stone for a cold storage unit in the City, Ayanur continued to spit venom. He said: “The BJP badly requires a cold storage. And party state unit president K S Eshwarappa should get one constructed for its leaders so that they did not get spoilt.”
