‘I feel like a supermodel’
Veena Malik has always been known to turn a few heads with her bold stances and barely-there clothes. Now, the starlet has created ripples in the film industry with a bold photo shoot for her upcoming movie ‘Supermodel’, which has been directed by Navin Batra.
In the shoot, Veena sports an outfit that leaves little to imagination — she has been snapped wearing a black brassiere with a transparent, netted bodice and black and white high-waisted shorts with detailing.
Her hair is cut into a blunt do with bangs, and she’s wearing a flimsy piece of headgear as well. With bold metallic accessories and chilli-red nail polish, Veena looks like quite a siren.
Veena says, “Today, I feel like a supermodel. The photo shoot which I have done reflects the glamorous part of the movie. It’s just a spark to catch the fire. I am the only supermodel (sic).”
Navin Batra adds, “When I was thinking about casting an actress in ‘Supermodel’, Veena came first to my mind. Veena was perfect for the role and she has worked hard in my film.”
‘Supermodel’ is Veena’s third movie. In it, she will be seeing playing a girl’s journey from a middle-class environment to superstardom. She will be sharing screen space with Ashmit Patel.
30 bodyguards for Mallika!
Mallika Sherawat is one demanding actress. Apparently, she has decided to follow in the steps of Salman Khan — who recently doubled the number of bodyguards in his entourage — and has asked for an increase in her security as well.
What’s really shocking, though, is that Mallika has asked producers for a whopping 30 bodyguards — which will add around Rs 40 lakh to the bill they have to foot.
Movie stars owe all their popularity to their fans. But of late, fans of Bollywood stars seem unable to curb their excitement.
And at times, their behaviour does cross a line. That’s probably why Mallika has decided to take pre-emptive measures before an all-India tour to promote her next, Kismet Love Paisa Dilli. Whether she’s taking it a little over the top is another question altogether.
Love and support from all
The music of the film Ata Pata Laapata was launched recently at Rangsharda Auditorium and on the occasion, several well-known names from the film fraternity turned up.
While Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the music of the film, other people from tinsel town were there too, like Sohail Khan, Johnny Lever, Rumi Jaffery, Yukta Mookhey and Pawan Shankar. Also present at the event was the entire cast and crew of the film — Ashutosh Rana, Razzak Khan, and all the others.
Overwhelmed by the support and love from everyone, actor Rajpal Yadav — who has directed the film — got rather emotional.
Keeping the sets in splits
Paresh Rawal has always been known for his genius comic timing.
Not only does he keep the audience giggling when he’s on-screen, but it appears that he’s quite a comedian away from the camera as well.
While shooting for his next comic caper, Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, everyone agreed that the sets of the film were filled with humour thanks to the actor.
Paresh would keep the crew and unit members in splits. In fact, they laughed so much that their thirty-minute breaks between shots seemed to get over in a blur.
The rest of the cast of Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, which will hit screens on
September 26, includes Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Asrani, Madhurima, Om Puri and Shakti Kapoor.
Excited about cricket
Ajay Devgan, who is looking forward to his upcoming film Son of Sardaar, recently shot a promo video for the Champion’s League T-20.
In the advertisement, he urges cricket fans to show their support and love to the Indian teams playing in the league and even says, “Champions League T-20 jeetvana zaruri hai”. The first promo of the advertisement was recently
released, along with the match between India and England.
A source close to the team says, “Ajay is a very big fan of the IPL and cricket as a whole and when he came to know that the top four teams of IPL will be playing for Champions League T-20, he got very excited. He is very thrilled and is eagerly waiting for the league to start.”
