A court here has directed police to probe a minor girl’s allegation that she was kidnapped and forced into flesh trade by her employers.

The minor girl, who was working as a maid and is a co-accused in the case of kidnapping and illegal confinement of a minor daughter of her employer, alleged that she was sexually exploited and forced into flesh trade, making her to run away with the child.

Her case is separated from the other two accused and is pending before the Juvenile Justice Board. She had made the statement about her sexual exploitation in the trial court, which is trying the case against a woman and a youth, who were made accused along with her.

Additional sessions judge Kamini Lau, who convicted and sentenced for two years the 60-year-old woman and the 22-year-old youth for keeping the kidnapped victim in Purnia in Bihar, asked police to probe the angle of trafficking and flesh trade as alleged by the girl.

“The assistant commissioner of police concerned is directed to conduct detailed investigation through the station house concerned on trafficking of the juvenile girl, and of her sexually exploitation by the said persons,” the court said.

According to the prosecution, the girl was sent to Delhi from Bihar by Urmila and Rupesh on the pretext of giving her employment, but was pushed into flesh trade and sexually exploited by several persons, including Om Prakash, in whose house she was working as a maid.

Finding no way out, in December 2010, the girl along with the minor child of Om Prakash went to a market. Instead of returning, she took away the child to the two accused in Bihar. The accused made a call to Om Prakash, demanding Rs 50,000, after which the present case was lodged by him. He alleged that his maid and his 10-year-old child have been kidnapped.

The child was recovered from Bihar and a case was registered against Urmila, Rupesh and the minor maid. On the basis of the statement of the maid that she was sexually exploited in Delhi and was pushed into prostitution, a case under the Illegal Trafficking (Prevention) Act was filed with Saraswati Vihar police station in north-west Delhi.
