A woman from JP Nagar III Phase has complained to police that her
husband is missing.

Madhavi, who is married and has a child, told the police that her second husband Devarakonda Venkatanaga Vishnu, who worked with an IT firm, married her two years ago, cheated her and is currently absconding. Vishnu hails from Gudiwada in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, while Madhavi is from Tirupati.

Madhavi was married for the first time in 2004. The marriage broke within a month. She was pregnant by that time and gave birth to a baby boy later. She completed MSc and came to Bangalore in search of a job. She joined the HR Department of Swathir Solutions, where she met Vishnu.

"Vishnu proposed to me. I told him about my first husband and a son. However, he promised me that he would look after me very well. We married at a temple in J P Nagar on May 2, 2009. We decided not to inform our parents about the wedding," the victim stated in the complaint.

A few of Vishnu's friends and his sister Mallika knew about the wedding. Mallika stayed with the couple for six months while looking for a job in Bangalore. They began having tiffs recently as Vishnu started imposing restrictions on her, Madhavi claimed. "He told me his parents will never accept our marriage. He went to his native place a week ago, telling he will convince his parents to accept our wedding, but did not return." she added.

Madhavi tried calling him, but his cellphone was switched off. After failed attempts, she lodged a missing complaint with police. Later, she grew suspicious and filed a cheating case. "Mallika and her parents will be responsible if something happens to me," Madhavi stated in the complaint.
