JOIN USPolice have given the name of the deceased as Venkateshappa (45), a resident of Yalagere in the taluk. The pillion rider - Saroja, wife of the deceased has sustained injuries.
The accident occurred while Venkateshappa was proceeding towards Chikkaballapur along with his wife in heavy downpour. Venkateshappa died during the course of treatment at the hospital. Rural police have registered a case.
A motorcyclist was killed on the spot as he rammed his two-wheeler into a parked tractor near Kappalamadagu village on National Highway 4 in Mulbagal taluk, on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Gurappa (40), a resident of Kamsanahalli.
The pillion rider Venkataramanappa has sustained injuries in the accident. As the driver of the tractor attempted to flee, the villagers intercepted him and informed the police.
