Actor Kunal Kapoor has showcased his acting skills by doing intense roles in movies like Rang De Basanti and Laga Chunari Mein Daag. But now, the actor is looking to do a bit more than simply acting in front of the camera — in fact, he wants to try his hand at script-writing.
Apparently, Kunal has conceptualised the idea for his next film Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana along with the director Sameer Sharma. “I had written the story and then, Sameer and I worked on it for a while before we pitched it to Anurag Kashyap. He loved the story and instantly gave a go-ahead to make the film,” says Kunal.
He adds, “This film is my first as a writer but I hope I come up with many stories that can be made into films in the future.”
Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana also marks Anurag Kashyap’s debut in the family-entertainer genre. The movie is produced by UTV Spotboy and Anurag is associated as a creative producer. It is being marketed as the first film on food since the comedy is centred on a fun-loving Punjabi family and their quest for a lost secret recipe.
