Lokayukta Court today ordered a probe on a complaint against a Lokayukta Superintendent of Police and a top district official here charging them with collusion to extract bribe in connection with a land dispute case.
Judge N K Sudhindra directed Additional Director General of Police (Lokayukta) Satyanarayan Rao to conduct investigation into the complaint and submit his report to the court by November 7.
In his September 27 complaint, R Srinivas Murthy has alleged that Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aiyappa had through one of his staff had demanded from him a bribe of over Rs 3 lakh for giving a "favourable judgement" in a land dispute matter pending before him.
He claimed that when he approached Bangalore Urban SP (Lokayukta) P K Shivashankar to lodge a complaint about the bribe demand, the SP had alerted the DC.
Besides the SP and the DC, the complainant had named one Rajeshwari as the co-accused.
