Driver files case against cop

A truck driver has accused a police constable of having illicit relations with his wife and eloping with her.

According to a complaint filed at Gandhi Nagar police station, complainant Mohan Singh said he came in contact with a constable Dinesh Bhati some time back. Bhati had purchased a truck and appointed Singh as its driver.

The constable began to visit Singh’s house for business purposes. The driver, a father of two children, said one day when he came home after work he found his wife missing.

He also found that her gold and money too were missing.  His neighbours told him a police constable came to his house and was seen with his wife.

They told him Bhati used to visit his house in his absence.

Singh then filed a complaint against the constable for having illicit relations with his wife and eloping with her.

He alleged that about Rs 1.75 lakh and gold were missing from his place.
