When crime comes home

Edge of Darkness’ stars Mel Gibson, Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, Bojana Novakovic and Shawn Roberts. In this movie, Thomas Craven (played by Mel Gibson) is a police detective, who has been working on the streets of Boston for years. But even then, the murder of his daughter Emma (essayed by Bojana Novakovic) comes as a shock.

That too, the killing had happened right outside their house. Craven goes investigating and gets into a maze of corruption and conspiracy.Will he get out of it alive? Tune in to the movie on HBO at 7.05 pm on October 18 to find out.

The stars go festive

With the festival season coming up, small-screen actors are taking out time to celebrate as well. Their shows might be their most pressing concern, but that doesn’t mean they can’t give priority to their families and loved ones. Sumona Chakravorty — aka Natasha of Bade Acche Laggte Hain — for instance, is planning to keep this a complete family holiday.

“Every year, my family and I go to pandals for darshan and have bhog, which has been
offered to Ma Durga. This year too, I’ll be with my family. Four days pass so fast! Also, I’m very excited as I will be appearing for a Dandiya event in Rajkot too,” she gushes.
Rupali Ganguly, from the show Parvarrish, adds, “Like always, this year too I’ll celebrate Durga Puja with my family and close friends. We will go pandal hopping and eat some really delicious sweets.”

Aamir Ali — better known as Dr Anirudh of Hongey Judaa Na Hum — will be travelling during the festive season. “I am travelling to a couple of cities with my wife Sanjeeda for Navratri. I like the fun and celebration which happens during the festive season. I am glad to be travelling and performing as well,” he claims.

 The flaw in the mission

Catch ‘S.W.A.T’ on Zee Studio at 10.30 pm on October 18. When SWAT officers Jim (played by Colin Farrell) and Brian (essayed by Jeremy Renner) were sent out to thwart a bank robbery, they manage to do their job successfully — but with a flaw: they shoot a hostage in the process.

Jim is suspended from the services, while Brian is fired. Crime boss Alex Montel (played by Olivier Martinez) makes an offer of $100 million to anyone who will spring him from jail.
Watch the film as veteran SWAT officer Hondo (portrayed by Samuel L Jackson) and his team struggle to prevent it.

A dangerous intent indeed

Catch ‘Species III’ on Star Movies at 10.57 pm on October 18. In this third part of the series, Eve (played by Natasha Henstridge) delivers a baby, just before she is killed.
The baby girl is taken away by Dr Abbot (Robert Knepper) and she becomes a full-grown adult in just a couple of days.

Sara (Sunny Mabrey) is stunning — but her aim is to repopulate the earth with half-breeds. A military team sets out the track her while
trying their best to end the war between the two species.
