CCB personnel questioning Hebbet Manja aides

The Organised Crime Wing of Central Crime Branch, investigating the recent attack on real estate tycoon D Dayanand Pai, has reportedly picked up some of the associates of Hebbet Manja, who are believed to be behind the attack.

A person claiming to be Hebbet Manja had made threat calls to Pai, minutes before he was attacked.

He also made calls to a few Kannada television channels claiming responsibility for the attack.

Sources say the police have picked up Vighnesh, a known associate of Hebbet Manja from a village near Mysore in connection with the case.

However, B Dayananda, Joint Commissioner (Crime-East), denied that any detentions or arrests had been made in the case.

Hebbet Manja is believed to be hiding in Thailand.
