<p> A spectacular torchlight parade by the police training school personnel in Yelahanka, marked the end of the nine-day Dasara festivities at Bannimantap here on Wednesday.<br /><br />A 350-strong team used torchlights to welcome the audience with a ‘suswagatha’ in Kannada, at the parade. Performing various drills, the police created arithmetic formations such as plus and multiplication, even as the contingent performed to the tunes of the Police band.<br /><br />They also formed Dasara-402, Karnataka Police and Jai Chamundi designs much to the delight of the crowd. They closed with a ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘At your service,’ the motto of the police. </p>.<p><br />Earlier, a 20-member team of the ASC Military Police drew the attention of the crowd by displaying their skills on the Royal Enfield motorbikes. Performing acts like criss-crossing between bikes, riding parallel in opposite directions in breath-taking speeds, the team wowed the audience.</p>.<p><br />A team of mounted policemen led by Maribashetty performed tent pegging, during which each of the horsemen aimed their spears at the fire stacks lined-up on the grounds. The programme concluded with a colourful array of fireworks. Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj inaugurated the programme by receiving the guard of honour. <br /><br />While the ASC Military Police team was performing a stunt, two motorbikes crashed into each other injuring one of the riders. The driver suffered minor injuries while the motorbike was partially damaged.</p>
