Congress and BJP are alike: Kejriwal

Both the Congress and the BJP would save each other and the investigations against BJP president Nitin Gadkari are an eye-wash, alleged anti-graft activist Arvind Kejriwal.

In a talk with the media on Friday, he demanded Gadkari and Robert Vadra should declare their assets and business interests. He sharply reacted to reports of Haryana officers giving a clean chit to Vadra in his land deals with DLF and termed it a ‘cover up.’ No one had the guts to investigate him (Vadra), Kejriwal said.

The Congress and the BJP were ‘hand in glove’ as far as corruption was concerned and as a result, investigations against Gadkari would yield nothing. He questioned the way investigations were being conducted about funding in Purti Power and Sugar Limited.

“The government has said that the IT department would submit a report in a month. The IT Act has no provision for such a probe. Is the government fooling people? You can only conduct raids under the Section 132 or survey under Section 133 A or scrutinise under Section 143.”

Kekrowal alleged that raids were not being conducted in secrecy.
“What happened to Robert Vadra? No agency has the guts to summon him or investigate him. He has rightly said that it is a banana republic. The IT department is investigating Gadkari. Why is it not investigating Vadra?” he asked.

He said both the parties would save each other. They would also not raise these allegations in any effective manner, he alleged.
