Parenting workshop

Understanding children, their aspirations, emotions and behaviour requires a conscious effort from parents. Children are under constant pressure to achieve, to prove, to appease, to be understanding etc. How does one connect to children, understand them? As children grow up, the disconnect and the gap widens. Communication breaks down and this impacts relationships. How to foresee and mitigate potential issues? How to build that understanding? How to empower oneself and one’s children?
Chetana is a 10-days parenting workshop that explores perspectives that enable the parent to understand his/her child better, improve adult-child communication and understand oneself. Cost: Rs 3000. Weekday classes (twice a week - 10 am to 12 pm spread across five weeks) at Magichive, RBI Layout, JP Nagar 7th Phase. For details, contact: 080-65706371.

MASTERs Conference series

Microchip Technology Inc., is now accepting registrations for its 9th annual India MASTERs Conference series.  The first conference will take place from November 29-30 in Bangalore, followed by the Pune event on December 3-4. The final conference of the series will be in New Delhi on December 7-8.  To register online or find out more about the events, visit http://www.microchip.com/get/VTJ8.

The MASTERs Conference is a valuable resource for designing with Microchip’s products that provides design engineers with an annual forum for sharing and exchanging technical information on the Company’s 8-, 16- and 32-bit PIC® microcontrollers, high-performance analog and interface devices, dsPIC® digital signal controllers, wireless solutions, mTouch™ capacitive sensing technology, memory ICs, and MPLAB® development systems — including the industry’s only singular IDE to support an entire 8-, 16- and 32-bit microcontroller portfolio..

The India MASTERs series offers an in-depth, interactive forum for engineers working across the range of Microchip application areas.  The event enables real-time dialogue and information exchange between Microchip’s technical experts, and its design partners, customers and distributor FAEs.

To fully cater to the varying requirements of software and hardware design engineers and engineering managers, this year’s events will feature training in a broad range of areas.  Eleven of the 23 classes are ‘hands-on’ workshops that enable attendees to learn more about specific applications by using development tools and writing code.  Classes are available for engineers with advanced experience through to little knowledge in the concepts and basics of the technology being discussed.

MASTERs classes cover the gamut of electronic-engineering topics, including new products and peripherals; C programming; connectivity sessions on TCP/IP, USB, CAN and wireless; graphics and capacitive-touch interface development; intelligent power supplies; motor control; selecting op-amps for sensor applications; using an RTOS; creating a bootloader; and eXtreme Low Power embedded system design.

Entry to the MASTERs Conference courses, all class materials and meals are included in the Conference attendance fee of Rs. 7,000.  The final registration deadline is November 15 for all cities.  Full details on all aspects of the MASTERs Conferences can be found at http://www.microchip.com/get/VTJ8.
