Vote for party that supports you, anganwadi workers advised

 Janawadi leader Brinda Karat advised the anganwadi workers to look at the role of different political parties that support and fight for them and keep away from the UPA and BJP.

She lauded the anganwadi workers saying that they symbolise spirit, courage, hard work put in by crores of working women of India.

“The union has become a model of unity, cutting across the caste, religion, communities and united under one banner. They play an important role in making the government schemes a success, especially tackling malnutrition, which is said to be around 61.5 per cent in the state,” she said.

Discipline personified

Though there were more than 5,000 workers participating in the rally that started near Gun House Circle and culminated at Scouts and Guides grounds near DC’s office, there was no sign of chaos or commotion that is usually observed during political rallies and conventions./'

The anganwadi workers, who had arrived from across the state, maintained complete discipline even as the leaders were attending to their every need.
