Remembering a legend

Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, the television show, will pay tribute to late film-maker Yash Chopra by using a song from his movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in their Karva Chauth episode.

The show will have the  characters of Aditya (played by Sushil Hinduja) and Meera (essayed by Binny Sharma) celebrate Karva Chauth and the song Ghar Aa Ja Pardesi will be played — with Meera performing to it.

Meera will also express her love for Aditya in this episode. Catch the show on November 5 at 10 pm on Sahara One.


Time to face the truth

In tonight’s episode of  Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Khushi decides that it’s time to confront Sheetal. She asks her whether she kept the Karva Chauth fast for Arnav — and Arnav just happens to be Aarav’s father.

Will Sheetal accept the truth? Or will she continue to turn away from what she know’s is reality? Tune in to the show on November 5 at 8 pm on Star Plus to find out.

Fairytale — with a twist

Red Riding Hood’ stars Morgan Thompson, Henry Cavill, Debi Mazar, Joey Fatone and Lainie Kazan. In this re-telling of the classic fairy tale — with a twist — Red is on a journey of initiation into a special role that her family has held for generations. She is not just a naïve girl delivering cakes to her grandmother at the end of the woods.

As the plot develops, it becomes evident that fairytales aren’t as magical as they’re often made out to be. Watch the movie on HBO at 10.40 pm on November 5. It is directed by Randal Kleiser.

A plan kept under wraps

bold Jackie Chan Shanghai Knights’ stars Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Fann Wong, Aaron Johnson and Aidan Gillen. Wang’s (Jackie Chan) estranged father is murdered by a Chinese rebel, who then escapes to England. Wang and his partner Roy (played by Owen Wilson) go to London to find the rebel and avenge the murder.

In the mean time, Wang’s sister, Lin (Fann Wong) has the same idea — only she uncovers a conspiracy to do away with the royal family. But will anyone believe her? Watch the movie on Zee Studio at 10.30 pm on November 5 to find out.

Taken in by a scam

Phir Hera Pheri airs on
November 5 at 9 pm on Zee Cinema. In this sequel, Babu bhai, Shyam and Raju are very rich. They live in a bungalow with a swimming pool in their backyard and have a car each.

Raju finds out that there is a scheme that would help him double his wealth in just 21 days. This is brought to him by the beautiful Anuradha, who works for an agency in Mumbai’s business area — only, she insists that the minimum investment is Rs one crore. Raju agrees immediately, not wanting to let go of the opportunity. What he doesn’t know is that this simple decision will lead him on a rat race to recover his money and save himself from a local don.

A struggle to stay alive

Watch ‘Crank’ on WB at 5.15 pm on November 5. In this movie, Chev (played by Jason Statham) is a professional hitman for a crime syndicate.

     His girlfriend Eve (portrayed by Amy Smart) has no clue about this and Chev plans to quit his job soon.

    But the syndicate does not take kindly to this and they get another assassin Ricky
Verona (essayed by Jose Pablo Cantillo) to inject a slow poison into Chev.

    A desperate Chev runs through town, keeping his heart-rate up to ensure that the poison does not work too fast. He has to keep Eve safe while he flushes out his enemies and kills them. Will he be able to find an antidote amidst all this? Catch the movie to find out.
