The traffic on Kadur-Arasikere railway doubleline was commissioned, on Wednesday.
Railway work Chief Engineer P D Sharma welcomed Bangalore-Hubli intercity, at Birur.
He said that Arasikere-Birur doubleline work was completed in three years. The line is 44 km. With the double line, the delay in trains due to crossing will be solved. The double line will be completed till Ajjampura, by January end. Executive engineer Padmanabhan, DEE R K Singh, AEE Vinod Kumar and others were present.
