KPYCC plans protest on Nov 10

The Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) will stage a massive protest against BJP government in Bangalore on November 10, demanding that it “perform or quit”.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday , KPYCC President Rizwan Arshad said the  protest march will begin from Freedom Park and end at Cauvery, the chief minister’s residence. He said they were protesting against the government’s ‘maladministration,’ ‘non-performance’ and ‘corruption’.

“In the last four years, there have been three chief ministers, while the government has failed to appoint the Lokayukta.” he said. He added that Youth Congress’s campaign ‘Yuvadhwani’ against the government had evoked a good response among people voting against the BJP on social media, along with SMS and missed call campaigns.

So far, 5,98,000 missed calls, 3,75,000 SMSes and 22,000 online votes had been recorded, said Arshad.
