Organic Farming Mission has been misused, say TP members

Taluk Panchayat general body meeting was held under the presidentship of Taluk Panchayat President Seethamma here on Tuesday.

Member S S Sanjay during the beginning of the meet said that about Rs 27 lakh was given to rich and upper class people leaving aside SC/STs and people from backward communities under the mission, which is wrong.

Members demanded an enquiry into distribution of funds to beneficiaries from Chithrakuta organisation in Hariharapura  specifically.

They said that organisations which have misled the government must be put into black list. The members objected to the format that the sum of Rs 100 crore will be deposited into the accounts of Agriculture Department Director and Savayava Parivar Joint Commissioner and the sum will be distributed to beneficiaries selected by private organisations. They said that the format is faulty in nature and the funds can be misused easily through this sustem.

The house objected to the delay from Revenue Department in construction of Ashraya extension.
It was resolved to start development of Ashraya site at Nuggi village on 4.50 acre land under NREGS.

Agriculture department officials were taken to task for not submitting the progress report on time. The house also decided to hold a meeting on Octobr 10 to discuss on raising funds for the flood victims.
Vice-President Santhosh, Members B S Sathish, K B Shankar, Sumana Nagesh, Parvathi and others were present.
