KRS canals to get ` 300 cr for repairs

 Taking a dig at recent developments in the Bharathiya Janata Party, district in-charge minister C P Yogeshwar said BJP will be there even if he or any other leader leaves the party.

Speaking at the district-level meeting of office-bearers and members here on Thursday, he said there are internal bickerings in the party right from the district level to the high command and opined that if there is no unity among workers, there is no future for the party.

The canals under the KRS reservoir would be repaired at a cost of Rs 300 crore and the launch is scheduled for November 29, he said.

Yogeshwar said he volunteered to be district in-charge for Mandya, assuring to strengthen the party here. Meetings will be convened at all Assembly constituencies from next week.

MLC Monappa Bhandary, CADA chairman D Ramalingaiah, MUDA chairman Basavegowda, state secretary Sharvani Sadashiva and others were present.
