Hospet MLA Anandasingh contributed Rs six crore for construction of houses.

 The ONGC subsidiary Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) contributed Rs 50 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. MRPL Deputy General Manager (Refinery in-charge) P P Upadhyaya handed over the cheque to Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj in the presence of company General Manager (HR) Manjusha Bhatnagar.

  Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL) promised Rs 5 lakh.

  Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has contributed Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

 Hassan Milk Union’s members will contribute a day’s salary to the CM’s relief fund. Besides, the Union will also denote Rs 10 lakh for flood relief.

 The BLDE Association in Bijapur donated Rs 25 lakh.

 Members of the Akhila Karnataka State Government Employees’, Federation, Karnataka Government ESI Medical Officers’ Association, Bangalore University Teachers’ Council and Bangalore Vishwavidhyalaya Shikshaketana Naukara Sangha have all contributed one day’s salary towards the CM’s relief fund.

* A team of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project had been to flood affected areas in North Karnataka. According to a release,  Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade has decided to construct 1,000 houses at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore in the flood-hit region. It has been decided to send five lakh rotis to the victims in Gadag, Dharwad, Haveri districts. Already, two lorries have transported two lakh rotis to Raichur, Koppal and Navalgund.

 Shiroor mutt has agreed to build 5,000 houses at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

 Akshaya Patra of Iskcon is providing cooked food to the flood victims in Navalgund, Annigeri, Tadhal and Dharwad for the last four days. About 37,000 meals have been served by the volunteers.

 Veerashaiva Cooperative Bank, Bangalore has contributed Rs 10 lakh.

The Mysore Poura and Samajika Pragati Sangha and other associations have decided to send food items. Those interested can pack five chapathis or jowar rotis along with onions, chutney pudi and sugar in each pack, and send it to Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Vanivilas Road, Lalbagh West gate before 1 pm on October 7.
