Cong behind BSY's moves: Eshwarappa

Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa alleged on Monday that the Congress was behind the political moves being made by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. The Congress’ designs would be exposed in the days to come, he said.

Addressing reporters here, he said last ditch efforts were being made to retain Yeddyurappa in the BJP and expressed confidence that he would stay back in the BJP.

Eshwarappa said he had no information on the talks held by senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley with Yeddyurappa. Yet, he was confident that the former chief minister would remain in the BJP.

On the statement by Tumkur MP G S Basavaraju that BJP leaders were “coward,” Eshwarappa, who is also the State BJP president, said, “Wait for four days and you will know who is coward.”

Eshwarappa said none of the party’s ministers or MLAs would take part in the launch programme of the Karnataka Janata Party.
