BMTF issues 2nd notice to Suresh Kumar

The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) has issued a second notice to S Suresh Kumar, Minister for Urban Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs recently.

The BMTF authorities have dubbed it as a routine exercise. “If the first notice has been served, then a second should also be served. We will serve a third notice too.

These are meant for giving enough chances to the accused to present his case before the investigator,” said a BMTF officer.

Suresh Kumar is facing charges of illegally favouring K Gopinath, brother of an RSS ideologue, by returning four acres and 20 guntas of land, which was acquired from him under the Karnataka Urban Land Ceiling Act, and was given to the Karnataka Slum Development Board to build houses for the urban poor. The BMTF, in this connection, has registered a case against him.
