Sirajin Basha, the advocate who has filed five private complaints against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday submitted before the Special Lokayukta Court that government departments were delaying furnishing original documents pertaining to the cases.

Nitin H, the counsel for Basha submitted that the Bangalore Development Authority, Urban Development Department and Chief Secretary’s office had failed to furnish around nine documents despite repeated reminders.

“The longer it takes for them to provide the documents, the more the chances of tampering with evidence,”Nitin submitted and sought a direction from the Court to the respective departments to furnish the documents.

Denotification

The particular complaint where the documents were sought relates to an instance where 11.25 acres of land in Srirampura was denotified in favour of Besto Company.
The second instance relates to cases where shareholders Dhavalagiri Properties were allotted denotified land in separate parcels around Bangalore.
