On the wings of adventure

Up!’ is a charming animated movie, directed by Pete Docter and Bob Peterson. It revolves around an old, lonely man named Carl. When Carl had been young, he had met Ellie — a little girl who was keen on having an adventure. The two dream of going to a lost land in South America. 70 years hence, Ellie is no more and Carl is keen to make their dream come true.

It comes about in a strange fashion — he flies away along with his house (which he rigs up with balloons), only to find a stowaway on board.

Eight-year-old Russell goes on the adventure with Carl and they meet talking dogs, a terrible villain and an extremely strange bird called Kevin.
Catch the flick on Star Movies at 9 pm on November 21.

‘I’m not brand conscious’

Actors and actresses are notorious for making it a point to flaunt high-end brands — but television actress Rashmi Desai says she isn’t brand conscious and likes to wear only those clothes in which she feels comfortable. “I wear anything I am comfortable and confident in. I should look good and be comfortable in it. If not, then what is the point of the brand? I am not very brand conscious,” Rashmi confesses. The actress has recently made a comeback in the popular show ‘Uttaran’.
