JOIN USThe Central Crime Branch sleuths apprehended a gang of four notorious rowdies on Tuesday evening near Jagadguru Shankaracharya Circle in Jayanagar 7th Block.
The gang, led by Nawaz alias Kulla Nawaz, was hatching a conspiracy to assault and rob people in the area.
Nawaz, Aijaz alias Chantwan, Riyaz alias Real - all residents of Someshwara Nagar in Jayanagar - and Samiullah from Ramanagara district are the arrested.
The police have also recovered two cars and lethal weapons from them.
Police said that Nawaz is a notorious rowdy and has nine cases including murder, attempt to murder, dacoity and assault against him in Siddapura, Mico Layout and Electronic City police stations.
Another accused Aijaz alias Chantwana has a rape case and an attempt to dacoity case pending against him in Siddapura police station. Samiullah has an attempt to murder case against him in Chennapatna police station.
