Man held for raping daughter in Himachal

A 52-year-old man was arrested here Tuesday for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter on several occasions in the past one year, police said.

Inder Singh of Golchha village in Himachal Pradesh' Shimla district raped his daughter twice at his residence Monday night too, Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar told IANS by phone.

He said the man would be presented in a court Wednesday.

The girl, who had been taking contraceptive pills for quite some time, herself lodged the complaint with police, he added.

The accused had earlier threatened to kill his daughter if she informed police about the crime, police said.
