Get ready to douse in desert music

Festival: 50 artistes and 12 bands will perform during the music festival

For Delhiites it is once again that time when they can sit back and enjoy the Desert Music festival. After gaining popularity in its first edition last year, the Amarrass Desert Music Festival is back again with more music and fun elements added on.

On December 1 and 2 the vast openness and beauty of deserts, will be captured at Zorba the Buddha on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, also known to have hosted other music festivals like ‘Escape to Zorba’ in April and ‘Jus Jazz’ recently.

The festival promises to be a delight for music lovers. As many as 50 artists and 12 bands from different countries will be performing at the event. Promising to be more engaging and enjoyable, the second edition will have more music from deserts around the world. The musical extravaganza has an amazing line up of artists this year.

It includes Bombino (the Hendrix of Niger), BaBa ZuLa (The creators of Istanbul Psychedelia), Padma Shri awardee Sakar Khan of Rajasthan and Barmer Boys among others.  

To make it an entertaining event, the festival will also see a unique collaboration of ancient and modern musical instruments. Bands and musicians like Dischordian, Tritha Electric, Harpreet Singh, The Blue Infinity, Alan Rego, and a special Indo-Welsh collaboration I Adra with Tauseef Akhtar (Ghazal singer) and Gwyneth Glyn, Georgia Ruth will also be the part of the festival.

The Desert music fest will also be a great inter-active platform for the established as well as young artists and will include classes for the musically inclined children.
