Kadur gets Rs 1 crore for Ayurveda hospital



Addressing media persons here on Thursday, he said the government is ready to sanction Ayurveda Dhanvanthari Research Centre for the taluk if about 100 acre land is available. The location is being identified in between Kadur and Birur. The DC’s permission is yet to be obtained, he said.

He said a letter has been written to the District Town Planning Director to consider the proposal of upgrading Kadur and Birur town municipal corporations into City Municipal Corporation by including the surrounding villages.

If both towns are clubbed, they will get more funds for development, he added.
Steps will be taken to construct a 5 lakh gallon litre capacity tank near Thangali in order to supply drinking water from Bhadra river to the villages. The jail coming up near Gedlehalli and the Kuvempu varsity’s PG centre will also benefit from this, he said.
A pre-metric hostel for minority women has been sanctioned which will be constructed near the KSRTC depot, the MLA informed.
