The Pakistan and Indian cricket teams are likely to celebrate the coming new year together here ahead of their One-Day International (ODI) game Jan 3.
“In view of this rare opportunity, we are planning to organise some gala celebrations to make it a memorable event for the players from both sides,” Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) treasurer Biswarup Dey told mediapersons here Sunday.
The two teams would arrive in the eastern metropolis Dec 31 after playing the series’ opening ODI in Chennai Dec 30.
“We have lot of things in mind, but will finalise the details only after the Dec 5-9 India-England Test match,” Dey said.
