The Department of Housing and the Karnataka Slum Development Board will now provide services under the Sakaala scheme with respect to approval of building plans and absolute sale deed, respectively. The services will begin on December 3.
Those interested in availing the services can approach either of these officers in the Karnataka Housing Board or the Slum Board: assistant executive engineer or the executive engineer.
For petitions under Sakaala, a 15-digit GSC number will be given as acknowledgment. The service sought will be provided within 30 days.
In case there is a delay, citizens can file an appeal and the service will be provided within a fortnight.
Details
For the absolute sale deed under the Slum Development Board, the applicants have to furnish details of the house number and the name of the slum, identity card and the allotment letter given by the Board, among other documents.
For services under the Housing Board, the documents to be submitted include sale deed copy, possession certificate, receipts of maintenance amount paid, transfer certificate copy, ledger account statements and identity card.
