JOIN USItalian carmaker Fiat on Thursday announced that its US unit Chrysler will launch Jeep brand of vehicles with nine significantly refreshed models in the country in the third quarter of fiscal 2013.
With this, Fiat seeks to reboot its Indian venture with an entry into the country's fast-growing SUV segment.
Briefing media here, Chrysler Group's Chief Operating Officer (Asia) Mike Manley said “Our vision for India will revolve around a three-pronged strategy.” Manley, who is also President & CEO - Jeep Brand, outlined them beginning with introduction of new vehicles that will soon include the legendary Jeep brand, followed by expansion of the independent dealer network and finally strong marketing initiatives that will continue to improve brand perception in the market.
