The four - Praveen, Shivkumar (both from Bangalore), Sanjay, a native of Tumkur and Mallik from Chikmgalur were produced at the magistrate’s house on Friday night and they have been remanded to custody.
Meanwhile, the body of Sardar (35), who was killed in the police encounter, is still in the mortuary. The family members of the deceased have left for Mangalore and they are expected to reach here on Saturday. It is said that 52 cases were registered against Sardar at various police stations across the State.
