“I have made the suggestion to IPL authorities but if that does not work out, I will make a request to the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to organise a celebrity cricket match,” he said.

He added that the match could be between film stars and the Karnataka cricketers.
Theatre person Arundhati Nag, actor and environmentalist Suresh Heblikar, writer Chandrashekar Kambar were present.

Crisis management

While Arundhati Nag promised to mobilise the theatre community into making significant contributions for the relief fund, Heblikar and the others present stressed on the importance of crisis management.

Indian Red Cross Society has set up 24-hour booths to collect relief material on Race Course Road and near Ulsoor Lake. Representatives of Red Cross urged people and citizens to contribute generously to the cause and requested people to avoid contributing used clothes and utensils.
