CM's tour raises Rs 675 cr


People jostled and shoved each other to hand over cash and cheques to the CM who toured for nearly six hours non-stop standing on an open jeep.
At the end of his three-day fund-raising tour, the CM had raised is approximately Rs 675 crore. On Friday alone, the collection was Rs 36 crore (cheques and DDs worth Rs 16 crore, Rs 7 lakh cash and Rs 20 crore worth of assurances). And, from 11 am to 5 pm, the CM and his team took no break.

The CM began  his tour after offering prayers at the R T Nagar Ganesha temple at 11 am. Students of Florence Public School handed over a cheque for Rs 50,000. They were followed by RT Nagar Public School, BBMP High School, Ganganagar, and Divine Education Society of Yeshwantapur. 

The residents of Ganganagar collected 600 gunny bags of rice. The CM directed his officials to send the entire collection to the flood affected places.
