Lokayukta court orders probe against KSE, relatives

The District Special Lokayukta Court on Saturday directed the Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent police to probe a private complaint filed against Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa, his son and daughter-in-law.

According to the complaint filed by Vinod, an advocate,  Eshwarappa has amassed wealth in the name of his son K E Kantesh and daughter-in-law Shalini, abusing his power.

The complainant has charged Eshwarappa with acquiring property worth crores of rupees through corruption and misuse of power. He has furnished documents obtained under Right to Information Act along with the complaint.

A case was registered under Section 13(1) (d) (e) of Prevention of Corruption Act and Sections 120(B) and 420 of IPC. The court directed the Lokayukta police to submit a report by February 4, 2013.
