JOIN USKavya Annie Jacob and Praveen Kumar S claimed a double each in the second leg of the Deccan Athletic Club Weekend athletics meet, sponsored by Deccan Herald and Prajavani, at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Sunday.
Kavya leapt to a distance of 4.72 metres to take home the gold in the long jump and the Clarence High School student won the triple jump as well, with an effort of 10.13 metres in the girls’ under-15 category.
Praveen of Max Muller Public School clocked two minutes 15.1 seconds for the 800M gold and he timed 10:36.8 to triumph in the 3000M in the boys’ under-16 category.
Kavya and Praveen had won the same events last week in the first leg as well.
