JOIN USThe Lokayukta court, on Monday, issued summons to the Bangalore City Police Commissioner for failing to provide police protection to activist T J Abraham.
The activist, who had filed an appeal before the police commissioner nearly a month ago, fearing threat for his life, alleged that the State government had not duly acted upon it.
Incidentally, Abraham is the complainant in the Nice project scam filed at the Lokayukta court. He had sought police protection, citing he had earned the wrath of wealthy and influential people who had been exposed in the scam.
The activist had approached the Lokayukta court seeking its intervention following the failure of Bangalore police in acting on his petition.
The matter has been posted to December 18 for further hearing.
