KSRTC retired staff seek free bus pass

The retired employees of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) have urged the authorities to provide them with free bus pass facility.

Around 2,000 members of KSRTC Retired Employees’ Association held a rally protesting against the government’s apathy to their demands with no move forthcoming to heed their plea.

Association President K P Mandali said they would continue their protests till their demand was met, justifying the demand as many retired persons were unable to afford the bus charges for travelling long distances.

The members submitted over a memorandum to Leader of the Opposition in the Council S R Patil, as Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar was not available.
