An unforgettable annual day

Entre Nous’, the annual day of the middle and high school sections of Deccan International School which was held recently, showcased the collective effort of the parents, teachers and children through a wide range of programmes.

The events of the day exuded a palpable warmth. The programmes included a Carnatic classical music recital along with the orchestra and staging of the dance-drama Girija Kalyana.

The western music performance saw effortless rendering. Hemmed in were the contemporary western dance styles of hip-hop and ‘Gangnam’ and the traditional dance forms of  koli, khangra and the garbha.

The eastern and western forms mingled seamlessly in the fusion dance comprising yakshagana, kathak and salsa.
