IGNOU joins hands with Pak university

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Pakistan’s Allama Iqbal Open University have decided on Wednesday to constitute a task force of faculty members map out collaboration, between the two institutes. 

They plan to sign an agreement later. “The university heads discussed about using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications in the Open Learning System, which can help in catering to the educational needs of students in rural areas,” said an official.

According to the official, talks of faculty and student exchange programmes which will begin between the two universities took place. “The modalities for that will be worked out soon,” added the official.
