JOIN USAdditional Commissioner of Police Traffic M A Saleem, on Thursday, exhorted the public to report traffic violations and help the police in nabbing the violators.
Addressing the conference on ‘Modern Approach for Traffic Regulation, Administration and Management, under the aegis of the Confederation of Indian Industry and police departments of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, he said, though the police had in place the Public Eye facility on their website to enable citizens upload photographs or video of traffic offenders, the reponse so far has been rather poor, as a result of which the police were hamstrung in enforcing traffic discipline among the people.
The meet also saw participants from various government agencies and corporate sector, debating on various ideas to evolve customised solutions for traffic management.
