JOIN USParents of students of a private aided institution locked the school alleging sexual harassment of students by the head master at Kembodi village in the taluk on Friday.
According to parents, the head master, Gopala Reddy has been sexually harassing the girls at the school for several months. They claim that Reddy summoned SSLC students to the classroom after school hours on the pretext of tuition and molested them.
The parents alleged there was a similar complaint against Reddy last year too, and demanded his immediate transfer.
Reddy hid himself in a classroom and villagers refused to move from the school unless action was initiated against him.
The members of the school management decided to settle the issue in the presence of police. Rural police said that the parents have not lodged any complaints.
