'Power firms, CIL to ink pacts in a month'

Ending the prolonged tussle between power generating companies and Coal India (CIL), the Centre on Friday said fuel supply agreements are likely to be signed within a month between power firms and the coal producing company.

“Most of the issues related to FSAs (fuel supply agreements) have been addressed. The FSAs (between power companies and CIL) are likely to be signed in a month,” Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal told reporters here after a two-hour long meeting with Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
