Tour and travel firm asked to repay consumer

 M A Sri Kishan had paid up this amount for three seats for a 21 days grand Europe tour to Shree Raj Travels & Tours Ltd in Vasanthanagar. However he could not get a visa in time for the journey and told the firm well in advance about this, requesting them to cancel his booking and refund the amount.

However when they refused to refund and he complained to this forum. President Bajentri H M found the firm guilty of unjust behaviour and has ordered it to refund Rs 5 lakh.

Country club
Nawaz Pasha paid up Rs 1.25 lakh to Country Vacations to become a member and to get two flats at Vedic Country Spa, Hindupur. This club is a division of Country Club of India Ltd. However after paying up the amount he saw neither the sites, the flats and repeated visits to their Koramangala office did not help. He finally complained to the Bangalore First and Rural Forum which has ordered this club to repay his money with costs.

Four complainants who paid amounts ranging from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh to Country Club and never got the benefits promised, were helped by his forum which has ordered the club to refund their money (complaint nos. 1471 to 1474)

SBI wins case
K R Chandrashekar had filed a complaint against the SBI Cards & Payment Services Pvt Ltd alleging deficiency in service. He prayed for direction to the opposite party to issue a No Due Certificate to him and drop proceedings to recover an amount of Rs 34,807 from him. He also asked for compensation of Rs 20,000. But the Forum President N Srivathsa Kedilaya ruled that he had not repaid the outstanding amount due to the bank from the loan he had taken and was unable to prove deficient service. He dismissed his complaint.
