Speaking after inaugurating an Entrepreneurship Motivation Camp at the District Industries Centre  Hall here, Ravi said that there should be willpower in every entrepreneur.

Industry should not be started only as a means to obtain loans. Instead, industry should be started with self-confidence to achieve success, he added.

Second phase

District Industries Centre Joint Director V M Soranagi said that the centre has 97.7 acres of land to develop the second phase of industrial area.  The state-level single-window committee meet has allotted the available land to two industrial units, he added.

A proposal to acquire 245 acres of private land for the third phase through Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board has been sent to the government, Soranagi informed.

About 1,500 acres of government land has been identified in Nagadiyatkaval, Karehalli, Vaderahalli and V L Nagar villages near NH 206 for the development of Industrial Corridor, he added.

New industrial area

He said that an industrial area has already been developed at Lingapura village in Narasimharajapura taluk.  About 25 acres of land has been identified at Vaikuntapura in Sringeri taluk for another industrial area.

Another industrial area will be developed in 25 acres of land at Haripura village in Koppa taluk, he added.  Taluk Panchayat President D J Suresh presided. District Lead Bank Manager Keshavaraj, State Finance Corporation branch Manager K N Anand, Khadi and Gramodyog Department Deputy Director H S Somanagowdar and District Industries Centre Assistant Director B P Shivamoorthi among others were present on the occasion.
