The police official termed the recent trapping of Nagaraj, a second division clerk at Superintendent of Police’s office by Lokayukta sleuths while receiving bribe for issuing a relieving order as a blot on the Police Department.
K P Puttaswamy, in a press release has said that the Police Department is committed to check corruption of any sort.
The Superintendent of Police has asked the people to contact him on 08152- 243060 (office) 222004 (residence) or on 94480802601, in case any police officer demands bribe.
Action will be taken against the erring official immediately, he added.
