Unexpected developments

Peter’s Friends’ stars Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branagh and Imelda Staunton. The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh. After ten years, a witty young aristocrat invites his college theatrical friends and mates for a New Year’s reunion. As the eating and drinking proceed, all manner of former relationships, emotional traumas and secret agendas are revealed. Tune in to the movie for a hearty dose of emotional drama and a dash of comedy. It airs on MGM at 9 pm on January 1.

 

Adventures of a young boy

Little Red Flowers’ stars Bowen Dong, Yuanyuan Ning, Chen Manyuan, Zhao Rui and Xiaofeng Li.

The film is set in 1950 Beijing, where Qiang is all of four years — and a little devil at that. As his parents travel a lot, Qiang’s father decides to place him at a residential school.
While his teacher Li does her best to tame the little boy, Qiang is all set to break her will and even lead the other boys into a rebellion.

What he craves are the little red flowers the other children get for good behaviour. Will that manage to tame Qiang’s rebellious nature? Catch the movie on UTV World Movies at 9.27 pm on January 1.
