A century after he became the first Indian to awaken consciousness about Hindu religion abroad, followers of Swami Vivekananda in the US are rolling a 'wheeled show' to propagate his ideas here.

To commemorate 150th birth anniversary of the Indian leader, the Hindu Swyamsevak Sangh also announced other programmes to mark the occasion. Vivekananda was the first Indian to introduce Hindu religion and culture in the US and the West.

The programmes include national contest, "Dharma Bee" for children on the stories of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Krishna, field trips, adventure and sewa activities for youth, lecture series on Hinduism in Universities during spring and fall semesters of 2013.

The group is also planning a dharma and yoga fest to commemorate his Address at the World  Parliament of Religions in Chicago – September 11, 2013.
