Corp Bank rolls out Visa gift card

It is a prepaid plastic card, an alternative to cash, gift vouchers and gift articles. It will work just like the bank’s debit card as the cardholder can pay for all types of purchases using the card. It can be used across the country in about five lakh Visa merchant locations.

The card will be a panacea for all the cash disbursal issues. It can be used at multiple outlets, multiple times till the amount is exhausted. The validity of the card will be for one year; hence it can be ordered first, and then gifted any time during the validity, to meet unforeseen contingency. The spending of the cardholder can be timed to his needs, said a press release. The card can be issued for a minimum of Rs 1000 and to a maximum of Rs 5,000.
